Cash Van Baale is in his sophomore year and is a first-year broadcast editor at North Polk. However, he has lots of experience in broadcasting and production at his previous school.

Van Baale explained “For the last two years, [he] ha[d] been a one-man band doing photography and videography for different sports. [He] learned fast that having a team is a big part of being in Journalism. So this year [he] wanted to give a team a shot and share [his] experience with other students and learn from other students so I can grow in this hobby!”

Outside of broadcasting Van Baale is involved in baseball, football, officiating, DJing, boating, play-by-play announcing and photography.

Van Baale went on to say “[he is] most excited about getting to help out the class learn so cool things [he] ha[s] learned and also going the extra mile with live streams. [His] goal at the end of the year is to have something like a mini ESPN live stream.”
