Senior Danyel Fahey, is a Yearbook Editor at North Polk. Fahey decided to join the yearbook when teacher, Jessica Trier, reached out to her, “Mrs. Trier emailed me and asked me to join, so I did, and I like Mrs. Trier so I was like, ok, and did.” Fahey says she enjoys doing her part as a yearbook editor. Her favorite part of being a yearbook editor is being in a classroom with her favorite teacher Trier.

Fahey participates in many activities at North Polk which includes: the Key Club, SEPC, and playing soccer in the spring. Fahey says she plays mid defense and forward for the Comets soccer club;, however defense is her favorite position on the soccer field. Her classmates have described Fahey as, “A lot.”

Outside of school Fahey said she spends her time watching Hulu or HBO, her favorite shows include “Rick and Morty”, “Courage the Cowardly Dog”, “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares”. Fahey exclaimed that she is quite a fan of Gordon Ramsey. Fahey also likes to listen to musical artists such as Conan Grey, Harry Styles and Ash Nikko in her free time.

After high school, Fahey plans to finish her Associates in Applied Sciences at DMACC, then travel to San Diego to study marine biology. Fahey was inspired to become a marine biologist during a visit to the Omaha Zoo.  Her favorite animals are stingrays and octopi.
