Zoe Marquez, Newspaper Editor
Senior Zoe Marquez is currently in her third year of being a newspaper editor for the Orbit and explained that she is looking forward to the stories to come out of her senior year.
In school, she is a member of both Student Council and Environmental Club with fellow editor Addison Happ. Outside of school, the biggest activity in her life is being a service member for the Iowa National Guard for which she completed Basic Combat Training her junior year Summer and will be going back for her job training her senior year Summer.
Due to her involvement in the department she is planning to continue her communications career and is planning to major in journalism at a college to be decided after completing her military job training.
Aidan Trier, Broadcast Editor
Aiden Trier is in his junior year and is pursuing his second year as a broadcast editor after taking both Intro to Journalism and Journalism Productions.
Trier divulged that “[he] continued to take broadcasting because it's a fun class with fun people and [he] can annoy my mother a little more.”
When not annoying his mother Trier is involved in soccer, marching band and speech through the school. He is also a part of Boy Scout Troop 89 out of Polk City.
Trier furthermore explained “[he] [is] looking forward to making good videos and creating memories.”
