Olivia Moody, Newspaper Editor
Senior, Olivia Moody is a Newspaper Editor for The Orbit. Moody shared that, “Newspaper is 100% my favorite class. Writing is one of my hobbies, so being able to have a class dedicated to writing is amazing. I’ve really enjoyed seeing how my writing has progressed and how “The Orbit” has changed over the past few years.”
Some of Moody’s hobbies are reading, listening to music, woodworking, and beekeeping. Moody shared, “My dad and sister are really avid readers so I basically just started copying them and it just sort of stuck. My entire family can’t function without music. No matter what we’re doing, be it cooking, working, eating, hanging out, there’s always music. My dad teaches me how to woodwork and we also picked up beekeeping because we wanted a fun new hobby.”
Moody talked about her dreams including, “I want to pursue a career in reporting so I will apply my writing and interviewing skills that I have gained from the newspaper to help me with my career. I would say that the newspaper has made my dream of becoming a reporter a reality. I no longer have to wonder what it’s like to write stories of my own that are read by the public because I do it everyday.”
